Lynnsay Buehler has served on the staff of St. Bede's Church since the Fall of 1998. She directs The Julian of Norwich Center and serves our diocese in the ministry of spiritual direction. The ministry of the Julian of Norwich Center is available to all interested persons who wish to deepen a relationship with God.
Why a
Julian of Norwich Center?
Julian of Norwich stayed in a hermit's cell serving as an anchoress.
The cell had a window to the church and altar, and a window to the
outside for passersby who came to seek counsel. Julian's relationship
to the church serves as a metaphor for my ministry through the Center,
as it is a place connected to the church, but on the side of the church
to offer quiet and confidentiality for those who come.
The mission of the Julian of Norwich Center is to offer a space to grow
more deeply in relationship with God. This is accomplished by providing
spiritual direction to individuals and groups, and teaching about
contemplative prayer and the stages of the spiritual journey.
What is the honorarium for services for
services offered by the Center?
$50 - $80 for a monthly appointment between 1 and 1-1/4 hours in
length.
