elcome to the Christian Education Program at St. Bede’s Episcopal Church! We offer a Nursery for children up to 3 years old, Godly Play for ages 3 through 3^rd grade, Seasons of the Spirit for 4^th and 5^th grades, and Journey to Adulthood for 6^th through 12^th grades. These are Sunday School programs and take place Sunday mornings from 9:45 until 10:30 AM.

In addition to Sunday School a number of special activities are scheduled throughout the church year. In this newsletter you will read about Christian Children’s Fund, Baby Jesus Baskets, Advent Wreath making, the Christmas Pageant, the Heifer Project, the Lenten Family Series, the Children’s and Youth Liturgy and Vacation Bible School.

Under the direction of our Associate Rector, Laura Bryant, the Christian Education programs are organized and nurtured by the Christian Education Steering Committee. Members of the committee represent the Sunday School classes, the Special Projects, Nursery and the Vestry so that coordination of classes and activities are tailored to the children of the church.

 Our Youth Minister, Beth Cannon, chairs the Youth Steering Committee. He assists and organizes Sunday School and programs for the Journey to Adulthood children.

There are many opportunities for families to be involved in their child’s activities–learn about our programs, come to Sunday School on a regular basis, and welcome to the beautiful ministry of Christian Education at St. Bede’s.
