 will benefit St. Bede’s music program. \n \nWhat remains when time and
  history have taken their toll? \n \nThis Lenten program centers on the 
 three surviving Troisième Leçons de Ténèbres by Michel-Richard de Lala
 nde\, each drawn from a different day of the Tenebrae office and all that 
 remain of a once-complete cycle. Their incompleteness becomes part of the 
 meditation\, bearing witness to both loss and endurance. Interwoven with t
 hese works are French Baroque tombeaux and laments\, musical memorials sha
 ped by grief and remembrance. The program concludes with Charpentier’s S
 tabat Mater\, a setting that stands at the foot of the cross\, holding sor
 row without resolution. \n \nPresented in the spirit of Lent\, this conc
 ert invites listeners into a posture of stillness and attentive presence\,
  where grief is neither explained nor overcome\, but gently held\, and whe
 re listening itself becomes an act of compassion.
